NONIE DARWISH  author of two books titled Now They Call Me Infidel and Cruel and Usual Punishment regarding her past life under Sharia Law "For the first thirty years of my life I lived as a virtual slave I was a bird in a cage, a second class citizen who had to watch what I said even to close friends. Under Islamic law I had to live in a gender-segregated environment and always be aware that the legal and social penalty for Islamic sin could end my life." I finished the first book sometime ago and at this time I am reading the second. I do tend to believe her words as they have been said by a nost of other writers. I do have a real fear of Islamic Sharia law.
