How did the "Occupy" movement acquire such immunity from the laws that the rest of us are expected to obey? Simply by shouting politically correct slogans and calling themselves representatives of the 99 percent against the 1 percent. But just when did the 99 percent elect them as their representatives? FAIR TAX

The FairTax proposal is a comprehensive revenue plan that would eliminate most major federal income and payroll taxes, including personal, gift, estate, capital gains, alternative minimum, Social Security, Medicare, self-employment, and corporate taxes. On payday, every American would receive 100 percent of his or her paycheck, minus any state income taxes. These federal taxes would be replaced by a national retail sales tax. Under the FairTax, the national sales tax rate initially would be 23 percent, with adjustments made to the rate in subsequent years. The FairTax is progressive. To make this system fair for low-income Americans, all taxpayers would receive a monthly "prebate," so no one would pay taxes for consumption up to the poverty line. The national retail tax would only be collected on new purchases, making "used" purchases tax-free. Additionally, business purchases would be exempt from the tax, thereby eradicating corporate tax compliance costs currently hidden in retail prices. As it is at this time an estimated 51% of eligible taxpayers pay no federal income tax (do not pay their fair share) . Those that do not help pay the bill lack good judgement  to decide who should decide how to spend our money.

LOSER PAYS RULE

Almost every liberal democracy in the world except ours uses the "Loser Pays Rule" which says that a plaintiff  in a civil lawsuit must pay the winning party’s legal fees if their complaint is judged to be groundless.  For those that hope to rein our uniquely  high rates of litigation a "loser pays rule"  seems like a common sense way to rule to weed out nuisance lawsuits. The loser pays rule would greatly diminish the cost of health care by removing the high cost of law suits against medical providers. Some say the cost of litigation can increase the cost of health care by as much as 20%. . Beside that for fear of lawsuits doctors frequently order unnecessary procedures to play it safe. The new senate bill The Patients Choice Act , sponsored by Republican senator Tom Cobourn of Oklahoma , addresses this problem in a big way. The trouble with passing legislation  to reform our legal system is that Democrats  oppose, and will always oppose any bill to control lawsuits. The obvious reason is that the American Association for Justice, formerly the Association of Trial Lawyers give 96% of their political donations to Democrats, according to www.opensecrets.org/pacs/toppacs. Nor is it economically efficient, as the rich have so much already they have no incentive to use their land productively. Socialism seeks to redistribute wealth and to ensure that the means of production are at the service of the whole of society, so that all can benefit and none will go without. The drive to succeed as an individual is the strongest motivating factor a human being can feel in their work. When work is uncoupled from reward, or when an artificial safety net provides a high standard of living for those who don’t work hard, society suffers. The fact that individuals are driven to succeed is in all our interests.

OBAMA CREATES JOBS?

CREATE JOBS? Create jobs? Can this be done by shifting jobs from one group to another? Obama's noble plan to reward employers to hire veterans and unemployed to fill job openings that already exist does not create a thing. Looks to me like his effort to redistribute the wealth from rich to poor but he is using jobs for the same purpose. Is he not bright enough to unnerstand or will this buy him a lotta votes in coming election. I call this "politics "which is OK but at least admit that it is.

BOEING

BOEING Obama is doing his best to un-create jobs. He is actively in support of a lawsuit by labor unions by way of National Labor Relations Board to stop creation of a new Boeing production plant in South Carolina. Their given reason for this action is difficult to unnerstand such as " ? , ! / ) k x ? Etc" but the real reason is that South Carolina is a right to work state. This  is a brand new plant to build a brand new airplane and will have no effect on production or jobs in their home plant in Seattle Washington. If denied this action Boeing would probably rather build somewhere offshore i.e. China, Mexico, Taiwan or many other choices. This can invalidate his whole Thursday speech on how to create jobs.

FREE BIRTH CONTROL

Free birth control? The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services has issued new guidelines ensuring that women will receive birth control and other preventive care for free.   Under the guidelines,  health insurance plans will be required to cover women's preventive services -- including annual visits to the gynecologist, breast-feeding support, sexually transmitted infection counseling and domestic violence screening -- without charging a co-payment, co-insurance or deductible.  Ain't nothing for free. As it will be forever , any mandated addition to health insurance policies will naturally create an increase in premium rate. Other examples are coverage for preexisting conditions, coverage for older dependents, plug the doughnut hole ,etc. Liberals will not stop funding to Planned Parenthood who provide these services for free. That is if you can consider taxpayers money free.

Govt cannot create jobs Many people think government can do a great deal to “create” jobs. That was evident in inaugural speeches by newly elected officials such as Gov. Mark Dayton who said his first priority was “to bring more jobs to Minnesota.” During the great depression of the 1930's Franklin Delano Roosevelt did every thing he could to "create jobs", W.P.A., C.C.C. etc. but the unemployment rate did not go below 10% until the start od World War 2.

I get irritated when people come down on our police officers, saying that they don't care about or respect others.

Well, here is a story that clearly shows not all cops are in that category.  This story involves the police department in the small hill country town of Fredericksburg, TX, who reported finding a man's body last Saturday in the early evening in the Pedernales River near the state highway 87 bridge.

The dead man's name would not be released until his family had been notified.  The victim apparently drowned due to excessive alcohol consumption while visiting "someone" in Kerrville .

He was wearing black fishnet stockings, 10 inch spiked heels, a red garter belt, a pink G-string, purple lipstick, dazzle dust on his eyelids, 2 1/2 inch false eyelashes & an Obama T-shirt.

The police removed the Obama T-shirt to spare his family any unnecessary embarrassment.
